We’re off to a great start for the Fall 2014 Charleston Miracle League Season! We have a lot to be thankful for! The rain held off on both Opening Day Sept. 13 and the games of Week 2 on Sept. 20! At Opening Day, our new friendsTrey and Kelly took time out of their busy pre-wedding schedule to serve as our VIPs to throw out the first pitch to start the Youth League season! We were privileged to have the Air Force Honor Guard officially and ceremoniously open both the Youth League and Adult League seasons at Opening Day by presenting our Nation’s colors. We had another new friend, Mr. Ronald Sprul, sing our National Anthem at the opening of the adult games. And, as noted on Opening Day, we had Phillip Hilton from Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers present us with a check for $2500! We’ve had two great weeks to start the season, with a great crew of buddies, fans in the stands, concession stand ladies, pitcher, catcher, announcer and umpire! Without all of you we could not offer such a fun day of baseball to our players.
Please spread the word about CML and come back to volunteer!
We have a lot of spaces for volunteers!
Have a great rest of the week and see ya this Saturday, Sept. 27 for Week 3 — it’s Make Up Picture Day if you missed last week!
Evelyn, CML President
