Oct. 29 is new date for Mulligans for Miracles Golf Tourney

The flooding in the Charleston area has postponed the Charleston Miracle League’s Mulligans for Miracles Golf Tournament presented by Sumter Utilities until Thursday, Oct. 29 at Shadowmoss Plantation. Our original date was Thursday, Oct 8, but the new date is Thursday, Oct. 29 with a 1 p.m. shotgun start for golf and 11:30 a.m. start for check in and lunch.

If you’ve already registered your team and the new date works for your group, we’ll see you on the 29th. If you’ve registered and can’t make it on the 29th, we’ll of course refund your fees paid, etc. Just contact us at [email protected] … and if you want to play and weren’t registered for the 8th, we’ve got room for you on the 29th — click here for tournament information and player registration form.

Youth League Assistant Coaches Needed for Fall 2015

Charleston Miracle League is seeking two more Assistant Coaches to help out with our Youth League teams this Fall season, which starts Sept 19! Email our Youth League Director, Andrea, at [email protected] if interested. And you should be — being a Miracle League coach is a fantastic experience!

IMPORTANT: New Bat policy — Foam or plastic only

At the Charleston Miracle League the safety of our players, volunteers, & Coaches is of utmost importance. In light of a recent tragedy involving a minor league ball boy we are making a change in equipment for the Fall 2015 youth season. Beginning September 19, 2015 (Opening Day), the Charleston Miracle League will require all players to use the provided foam or plastic bats. No other bats (aluminum, metal, composite or wood) will be allowed. We hope that this does not cause too much of an inconvenience for players and families, but we believe in providing as safe an environment as possible.

MoG_forCharities

Starting November 1st, The Kickin Chicken will host its 7th Annual Month Of Giving Campaign. All five Kickin Chicken locations will donate $1 from every appetizer purchased to Camp Happy Days and the Charleston and Summerville Miracle Leagues.

“Since we opened our doors in 1997, we’ve felt a responsibility to support our neighbors and the Lowcountry community who support us. Each year we host a Month of Giving campaign to help fund these local charities that are very near and dear to our hearts,” says Chip Roberts.

Last year, The Kickin’ Chicken donated more than $20,000 to these organizations. “We are very proud of our employees and sincerely thank our customers as we continue to top our numbers year after year,” says Bobby Perry.

The Kickin Chicken Month of Giving is in its seventh year and has donated over $210,000 to Lowcountry schools, students and non-profit organizations. For more information on Kickin Chicken’s Month of Giving campaign or to donate, please go to kickinchicken.com.
